1909

1909

Not the year 1909 but the Windows 10 version 1909 which is the latest update. If you are running version 1803 or earlier you will be upgraded to at least 1903 but more likely 1909. Now that free support for Windows 7 has finished and if your computer has the ability to run Windows 10 then it
is possible to do a free upgrade providing that the Windows 7 computer was activated but it may not run all the programs that you had installed. In which case it they will be removed from the computer as part of the update.
Some older computers can’t be upgraded and these are normally the cheap computers where some cost cutting measures have been done to create a computer at a certain price point.
The challenge comes with laptops where you can’t upgrade parts if they are not supported, i.e. you can’t put a new video card into a laptop which you can do if the video card is not supported in your desktop computer.
If this is the case then you have the choice to do nothing and don’t connect your computer to the internet or splash out and buy a new computer which is supported and most likely will come with the latest Windows 10 version installed,
unless the computer has been sitting around on the shelf for a period of time. But even this is not a major problem as once you have setup the computer just run windows update.
