Back to School, Back to Work
Now that the Christmas, New Year and Summer holidays are over its time to get back to School, Back to Work. Even if you are not a student per say you are still learning, in fact you spend your whole life learning. So, what are you going to learn this year? Last year we learned about Covid 19 and all that went with it with some learning still taking place. |
You would have made some New Year’s resolutions even if not formal e.g. don’t get Covid, stay healthy, improve you work/life balance etc. |
Back in the late 80’s when I was involved with the SES, I designed a training program looking at all the possible things that they could be involved in with one of those being a pandemic but no one took seriously. When I developed my business plan for one of my businesses in the mid 90’s included procedures for when a pandemic happened and included working from home, having stores to last a number of weeks and included generators and fuel, operations from a second location and in my case even a third location. |
In Queensland as a people, we haven’t been hit as much as the people of Victoria but at the same time businesses all around Australia (and the world) have taken a beating with most of the small self-employed businesses not able to get any Government funding to assist in their survival. |
My question is what are you doing to assist you in your survival in this new year. What are you going to learn? What are you going to teach? What have you learned from the past year? What are you going to pass on to the next year? What is your goal for this year? |
